Is there a paved road from Moctezuma to Sahuaripa? If so, go Tucson to Nogales, Nogales to Magdalena, then turn east passing thru Cucurpe and then down thru Banamichi to Moctezuma. You’ll pass motels and have the Rio Sonora at your side. A beautiful, curvy, scenic ride, vs a boring HOT Interstate ride to Hermosillo. I’ve mad both trips a few times. But, I don’t know the road from Moctezuma to Sahuaripa. The Rio Sonora valley is filled with 400 year old missions, gets hardly any traffic, has a few gas stations and now has quite a few motels / hotels.
